IFRS for SMEs Capacity Building Project has Ended
IFRS for SMEs capacity building project has been completed. The project was organized by SavvY, initiated by the Service of Accounting, Reporting, and Auditing Supervision (SARAS) of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, and supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the "Governing for Growth" (G4G) project.
As part of the project, we trained 30 English-speaking and 58 Georgian-speaking trainers. We conducted pilot trainings for 100 accountants working for third category enterprises. SavvY has also translated 35 training modules on IFRS for SMEs. You can see these modules at this link.
On September 21, the final event of the IFRS for SMEs Capacity Building Project was held at the Ministry of Finance.
The event was attended by international donor organizations, representatives of third category enterprises that participated in the pilot training, business associations and professional organizations. Speakers talked about the benefits of International Financial Reporting Standards, the importance of the project, the work done and future plans.
International donors have agreed to fund trainings that will be held in the regions of Georgia.
