The USAID Economic Security Program in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara

The USAID Economic Security Program in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara has identified that regional MSMEs are in need of targeted technical assistance and business development services.

Through a partnership with TBC - თიბისი, based on Goldman Sachs' "10k Small Businesses" program with consulting company SavvY involvement. The focus of the program in Adjara includes improving financial literacy and management for MSMEs, as well as assistance with strategic planning.

The program started group training for 20-30 SMEs through individual advisory sessions to develop business growth and development plans and help with financial management practices and recordkeeping. The goal was to improve participating SMEs' internal control mechanisms and decision-making capabilities.

In collaboration with SavvY, workshops and individual sessions on business development for small and medium-sized firms in Adjara were held.
